About MCT's History

The Activities of what we know today as MCT began in 1967, in the Umbria region of Italy at "Passaggio di Bettona", where Mr. Lamberto Marcantonini founded Marcantonini Lamberto & C. S.r.l., with the aim of creating customized high-performance concrete batching plants and concrete delivery systems. Marcantonini also had the early vision for automated industrial solutions, and transfer of technology from various more automated industries to the areas of concrete production.

Over the past 40 years MCT has evolved into a worldwide leader in fully automated concrete systems. In particular high-performance concrete production has become a specialty. The world's most advanced concrete plants count many MCT installations amongst them. The philosophy of MCT is to offer leading-edge technology applied to the science of concrete materials whether on a large civil onsite plant system, or a fully automated concrete products factory-or any concrete plant type in-between.

At MCT the talent of personnel is encouraged for enhancement through advanced training in design, engineering, software development, electronics, advanced mechanical systems and modular installation.

In 2003 company Marcantoni Lamberto & C S.r.l. joined with Marcandrea S.r.l. creating Marcantonini S.r.l.

In 2005 MCT opened its "Center of Research and Development" working together with the Universities of Perugia and Rome, attaining a lifelong goal for Marcantonini of involving the highest levels of academia in the development of concrete equipment technology-bridging the gap between materials theory and practice.

Mr. Andrea Marcantonini, Eng., son of the founder, is at the helm of Marcantonini Automazioni Srl the automation division of MCT and involved in various fields from concrete systems, industrial automation, video controls and alarm systems. At MCT all software is developed internally; all electronics and electrical systems are built in-house, and all engineering and design is rebounded off of a group of international experts in these fields located throughout Italy, Europe, Asia and North America.

The "custom shop" feel of MCT is evident on any visit to the design and engineering offices, electronics shop, fabrication and assembly shops, or the Center for Research and Development. This is a stark difference between MCT and its worldwide competitors. Your plant project is not a MCT project as it moves through our departments; it is "Your Project" moving through our various creative departments and trade shops.

Our permanent offices in North America further show our commitment to reaching this segment of the global market and providing them with proper sales, service and spare parts support.

QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT

The Environment Quality Management System is certified to comply with the requirements of UNIENISO 14001:2004 -DNVItal Marcantonini S.r.l. achieved the certification of quality respecting the standard ISO 9001 in 1994. In 2004 MCT attained VISION 2000.

ISO 14001

The management system for environmental quality is certified under the standard UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 from DNV Italy.
In 2004 the factory has been certified following the environment rules ISO 14001. This was a very rewarding and satisfying for the property. Marcantonini is one of the few concrete equipment factories to be ISO 14001 certified.
